Growing great berries takes a great team with a great culture. I’m lucky that a big part of my job at Kaipaki Berries is to look after the people side of our business. I was brought up into a hardworking refugee family, born in Palmerston North and raised in Hamilton where I’ve worked all my life in horticulture.
We’re a big operation so health and safety is very important and a part of my job I take very seriously. I’ve been able to draw on my experience in other health and wellbeing roles as well as retail, and hospitality to help the team here at Kaipaki Berries. I really enjoy the hands-on nature and the many learning opportunities that are available within the business.
I am honoured to be a part of the team at Kaipaki Berries and have enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of every aspect of our business. This includes time as a harvest supervisor and now in the growing assistant role. I also use my IT and design background to create training material to help others. My passion and enthusiasm is a cornerstone to the Kaipaki team.
